Strong Kids Annual Campaign
Help directly fund an Ocean County child, family or individual with Y Cares financial assistance by making a gift to our Annual Strong Kids Campaign. Y Cares scholarships enable our neighbors to participate in Y membership and programs. Assistance is provided on a sliding scale based on demonstrated need.
Matching Gifts
Many companies match gifts from their employees to the YMCA, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. This is a great way to double your gift to the Y. Contact your Human Resource department or the Y’s Development Office for more guidelines or information, 732 341 9622 ext 4255 or jkermick@ocymca.org
Honor and Memorialize
You can make a gift to the Ocean County YMCA by honoring or memorializing someone in your family, a friend or a community member. Contributors may make a Tribute Gift in honor of a birthday, wedding, anniversary, graduation or special achievement. A Memorial Gift may be made in loving memory of a deceased relative or friend. The honored person, or the family of the deceased, receives a personal card stating that a contribution has been made in his or her name to the Ocean County YMCA.
Charitable Gift Annuity
By creating a charitable gift annuity, you ensure support for a cause you care about while creating a secure source of income over time. A charitable gift annuity is created by donating cash or securities to the Y in exchange for routine interest income payments. These payments may be received by the donor monthly, quarterly or semi-annually. Payments may be received throughout the course of your life, or over the course of two lifetimes if you wish for a second person to share your benefit.
Receive a lifetime of interest income based on the value of the gift and annuitant rates. The Community Foundation of New Jersey, state licensed by the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance, enables us to issue charitable gift annuities for the ultimate benefit of our Y. Gifts by Will or Trust
A wonderful way to make a significant gift to the Ocean County YMCA is to include the Y as a beneficiary in your will. A bequest to the Y by will or living trust permits you to retain all your assets during your life. You may designate a percentage of your estate, a specified amount or the residue of your estate. This enables you to retain control and use your assets during you and your spouse’s lifetimes, yet still have the satisfaction of making a major gift. In addition, your estate may be eligible for tax savings.
